The museum contains objects related to Emperor Go-Toba, Oki Shrine, where he is worshipped, and a small collection of Japanese swords, with one as old as more than 600 years. Find out why the emperor was exiled here, what life he led and how he affected to deveopment of local culture an daily lives of the residents. In the surrounding area is the Residence Site and the Burial Site of Emperor Go-Toba, and the residence of the Murakami family that guarded the tomb for generations. Information presented in the museum is in Japanese and English.
