    Dōgo Island (Okinoshima Town) offers not only beautiful coastal scenery but also magnificent mountains and deep greenery covering them. It will make you forget that you are on a remote island.
    This trail is one of the most popular hiking destinations.
    You can enjoy the unique vegetation where plants that normally prefer different environments coexist. The tour highlights include walking through a natural forest of giant Japanese cedar trees that are hundreds of years old, which can only be found here on Dōgo Island, and also the overwhelming beauty of the strangely shaped rocks that were miraculously created by volcanic activity and erosion over the years.

    There are some places where you will have to use ropes to climb steep rockfaces. This trail is mainly for experienced hikers, but beginners with good health and stamina can also try it or go to the natural forest and return to the trailhead.
