- "Yakiniku" is a type of barbecue restaurant, where you grill your own meat and other foods you order, e.g. vegetables, seafood and onigiri rice balls. The menu includes many items known from Korean cuisine, such as kimchi, bibimbap, etc.
The definitive king of the menu is beef. There are various cuts for you to choose from; you can order a few different types and compare the taste and texture! The owner runs both a restaurant and a butcher's shop, so you can be certain the meat is delicious and has high eating quality. We highly recommend trying "Oki Kuroiso" beef, that is a brand created by this restaurant using traditional fattening methods.
The famous Oki Beef, a brand from the neighouring Ama Town (Nakanoshima Island), is also on the menu. The wide selection of drinks includes locally-made Japanese sake, so remember to give it a try! There are many different types of Japanese sake and they can be served both hot and cold.
This restaurant is very popular among local residents, so we recommend calling beforehand to ensure you get a seat. The restaurant has an English menu, but the staff does not speak English; so please make a booking in Japanese or ask the tourism office to call them for you.
