The history, culture, nature, and geology of the Oki Islands UNESCO Global Geopark are all explained in one place. Visit the museum and discover the rich heritage of the islands. All panels provide information in English. The Oki Islands have an interesting geological history through which you can find out about the birth of the Japanese archipelago, and even about the inside of planet Earth. This geological history and isolated environment have strongly affected the local plants and animals, and traditions passed down through generations. It is a recommended place to visit during your Oki Islands adventure, to discover information that will enrich your trip around the islands. Visit the ground floor of the building to get brochures and necessary information at the Tourist Information Center, use coin lockers, or just relax in the rest area. The library corner features books related to the Oki Islands and other geoparks.
