Join this bus tour and visit the popular sightseeing spots!

The route will take you from the Saigō Port for a drive around the western side of Dōgo Island. The sites you will visit will allow you to experience a variety of sceneries with both cultural and natural wonders.

    Tamawakasu-mikoto Shrine:
The shrine's main building (honden) is constructed in Oki-zukuri style, an architectural style unique to the Oki Islands. Next to the shrine stands an ancient Japanese cedar tree—Yao-sugi, which is estimated to be around 2,000 years old.

    Funagoya Boathouses:
Traditional boathouses lined up on the coast in Tsuma area—a picturesque scenery found only in small fishing villages that preserve the ways of lives of the past. The construction method features roofs made with tree bark, bamboo, and stones. See the information signboard on the coast to find out why the boathouses are built so close to the coastline.

    Dangyō-no-taki Waterfalls:
A pair of waterfalls hidden away in a deep forest. The taller waterfall falls from a 40-metre-tall cliff. Right next to it is a small Dangyō Shrine. This is a place where you can feel how close we humans and our culture are connected with the nature surrounding us.

    Nagu-saki Cape:
A cape with an observation deck looking out at a charming lighthouse, the ragged coastline, and the Dōzen Islands on the horizon.
