Oki Shizen Mura is a non-profit organization based in Ama Town on the Oki Islands, engaged in specialized activities centered on environmental education, ecotourism, and research on local flora and fauna. It brings together nature specialists and also contributes to cultural initiatives, such as the development of the Ama Town Basic Scheme for Historic and Cultural Properties, working to preserve and study both nature and culture. Takayuki FUKUDA
Taka studied zoology and botany, with a focus on environmental studies, in Tasmania. Fascinated by the deep connection between people and nature here on the Oki Islands, Taka moved to the islands in 2014. Utilising his qualifications as an environmental restoration specialist and taxonomist, he works as a tour guide, instructor of environmental education and surveyor of animal populations.
