Check in at the Chiburijima Island Tourist Association and board the Sekiheki Sightseeing Boat.(You can also check in when registering for the Kayaking Experience.) The main attraction of the cruise is Sekiheki and it's beautiful red cliffs, but it's also recommended to go with a guide who can give detailed explanations regarding the geology of the island and it's local inhabitants as you cruise around the Island. You can choose to experience the tour without a guide, but your 1 hour experience will be much more fulfilling with a guide. (Reservations for the Sekiheki Sightseeing Boat must be made by 12:00pm the day before.)
Please pay the fee directly to the captain after the tour.
*As of April 2nd, the Sekiheki Sightseeing Boat is undergoing maintenance. It is scheduled to return to operation in mid-April.

18:00Chez SAWA

While a relaxing meal at your accommodation is one of the best parts of your trip, We highly recommend going out to eat at Chez SAWA a French restaurant using Locally sourced ingredients. Rock Oysters are in season until mid-June. And when it comes to beef from Oki, It's Oki Beef. This restaurant also grows vegetables on it's own farm. Pictured are "Rock Oysters with seawater jelly, wild celery, and rock seaweed" followed by "Oki Beef shank stewed in red wine."
*Reservations must be made at least one day in advance. Please note that the course menu changes depending on the day.

Day 2
8:30 - 11:30Mount Akahage, Sekiheki, Cape Uguiga

Starting the day off we recommend driving around to see Sekiheki from a different Vantage point from the day before at the cliffside, the impact from the sea is a must see though so make sure not to miss it. Mt. Akahage offers an unobstructed 360° view that's breathtaking. You can not only see the four Oki Islands, but also you might be able to see Shimane prefecture on the mainland if the weather is clear. it's also a great idea to get up early and watch the sunrise. Cape Uguiga is the cape closest to Nishinoshima, and the panoramic views unique to Caldera Bay make it a popular spot, especially with bikers.

Return the Rental car at Kurii Port, Thank you for your hard work.
Near Kurii port you can experience making Shichimi (a Japanese spice made from a mixture of seven different spices) by blending natural ingredients found on Chiburijima Island, such as wakame seaweed, rock nori seaweed and Japanese pepper, you could also try your hand at crafts by creating your own piece of art inside a shell, Also if you are interested in history, we recommend taking a walk around Shoyo-ji temple, nearby the temple you can also visit a grave site which hosts an exiled prince and if you venture a little further a grave of a famous monk can be found nearby. Some accommodations provide tour guide services by car, so please use them if you are worried about driving.
